Youth fishing derby - June 11

A free fishing derby for youth ages 15 years and younger will be held on Saturday, June 11 at Princess Pine 4-H Camp on Lake Thomas. The fun filled day of fishing and related natural resource activities begins at 9 a.m. and concludes at 1 p.m.

The day includes a casting contest hosted by the Lake Roosevelt Walleye Club; working with a stream table, making fish prints, and stories in the Salmon Tent. Of course, there will be lots of fishing. Prizes and snacks will be provided.

4-H enrollment is not required. Adults are encouraged to attend and help their children. The fishing derby is free to attend and will be held rain or shine, so plan on joining the fun.
