Road closed due to semi truck rollover

Final update: The roadway is open as of 8:06 p.m. on August 29, according to WSP. The Stevens County Fire, the Department of Transportation and the Department of Energy all responded to the crash.

Update at 11:39 a.m.: WSP reports that the fertilizer spill is still being cleaned, and there is currently no estimated time for when the roadblock will be clear.

Northbound traffic is being detoured at Pingston Creek and southbound at US-395, according to the Washington State Patrol.

A semi-truck traveling north toward Marcus on Highway 25 is on its side blocking the road after a rollover. The semi was carrying ammonium nitrate, (aka lawn fertilizer). Through traffic is currently blocked on Highway 25 north of Kettle Falls.
