Area residents and businesses will be without power early Monday morning as Avista upgrades equipment.
The utility will shut off the power at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 21, and restore power at 6 a.m. Monday, Oct. 22.
Approximately 762 ratepayers will be without power, Avista officials said.
“The planned outage is required for our crews to complete work at the substation that serves the town of Kettle Falls and surrounding areas,” the utility’s Colville operations manager, Cesar Godinez, said. “The planned upgrade will reduce the need for future planned
outages and increase the safety and reliability of our system.”
