It was another good day for Colville High cross-country on Saturday during the annual running of the Can-Am Invitational at Old Kettle Campground on Lake Roosevelt.
The Colville High girls won the female team title. The Indians, fresh off a Northeast A League win at Freeman, put all five scorers in the top 12 to win with 29 points. Class 4A University High was a distant second with 41 points.
While the Tribe boys came into the Can-Am a little short-handed, Trent Baun followed his win a week earlier at the 49 Degrees North Invite on rugged Chewelah Peak with an win in the trees and sand of Old Kettle on Saturday.
Colville will host one of its two NEA home meets starting on Tuesday when Lakeside and Chewelah challenge the Indians over the rolling terrain of Dominion Meadows Golf Course. The first races get started at 4 p.m.
