Colville took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter on a 53 yard run by Jacob Larson, and in the second quarter, Larson extended that lead to 14-0 on a four-yard dive.
Later in the quarter Michael Fitzsimmons blocked a punt and the ball was returned 25 yards by John Knight for a touchdown and a 21-0 lead.
“That was a great special teams play,” analyzed coach Cornwell.
Just before halftime the only defensive breakdown of the night for the Indians allowed Wes Dean to catch a pass from Lucas Keller and race 76 yards for the only score of the game for the Stags. In the second half a 58-yard pass from Knight to Flugel and Larson’s third touchdown of the night capped the scoring as Colville eased their way to a 34-7 victory.

Colville (2-1, 1-0) has homecoming this week, and their opponent is the Riverside Rams (2-1, 0-1). Pregame homecoming festivities begin at about 6 p.m. and kickoff is at 7 p.m.
