The fragrance of pine and cedar boughs permeated the building where about 15 volunteers were assembling several hundred holiday swags.
The swags had been pre-sold and were set to be delivered that day. Proceeds were going to the Kettle Falls Community Chest, the local food bank.
The food bank was founded in 1985 and operates with donations, some grants and fundraisers, such as the annual swag sale.
