The Washington State Department of Transportation is working on the sidewalks along U.S. 395 in Colville upgrading intersection crosswalk ADA pedestrian ramps.
The Colville City Water Department began conducting its annual water quality flushing program on Monday, starting with Main Street sewers. This program is designed to flush the build-up of minerals and other sediments from the city’s distribution system.
It was just another Monday in downtown Colville. Unremarkable in every way. Workers clocked out and strolled to their cars. Shop owners flipped signs from open to close.
Traffic is once again zipping along U.S. 395 between Colville and Kettle Falls now that water from Mill Creek is no longer spilling onto the roadway. Other roads remain off-limit because of the damaged acquired from heavy rain and snow melt, forcing travelers on detours.
The Colville High School Greenhouse will be holding plant sales at their Open House May 11 starting at 7:30 a.m. “The Colville High School Career and Technical Education Greenhouse class has been hard at work,” noted Ivy Nelson, CHS Ag teachers.
Saturday April 22 marked the 25th Anniversary of the Panhandlers coming to Kettle Falls. “Every year this amazing group rides to our city to support the Kettle Falls Food Bank,” said Tina Rubio, the Director of the Kettle Falls Community Chest.
